Sound in Film

Leant different types of sounds used in film:
Diegetic sound: sound you hear form in the film world ( everyday sound cars etc.)
non-Diegetic: music added to the film ( voice over)
parallel sound: fits with the genre and runs along with on screen action
contrapuntal: doesn't link with the genre
sound bridge: adding to continuity through sound, by running sound


sound can include:( theme, tune, incidental music, sound effects, ambient sound, dialogue, voice over)
